Meet Charles – Your Online French Teacher
Experience & Expertise
I’ve had the privilege of guiding students worldwide—professors, psychologists, scientists, artists, chefs, lawyers, doctors, executives, and international affairs professionals—on their journey from beginner to advanced French. My teaching emphasizes practical communication, structured guidance, and personalized strategies, helping learners gain confidence and achieve fluency.
I also support students preparing for official French exams such as DELF, DALF, TEF, TCF, and FIDE, providing targeted practice and proven techniques for success.
My Teaching Style
Students often describe me as patient, organized, and professional. My teaching combines:
Clear explanations
Practical communication skills
Personalized guidance
I create a supportive and motivating learning environment where each student can progress with confidence. Through constructive feedback and tailored instruction, I help learners achieve their French goals step by step.
Tailored French Lessons
Every learner is unique. That’s why I design personalized French courses adapted to your needs:
📚 Structured progress – step-by-step curriculum from A1 to C2
🎯 Exam preparation – DELF, DALF, TEF, TCF, FIDE
💬 Conversational practice – flexible, real-world communication
All lessons include interactive materials: PDFs, videos, podcasts, and exercises to make learning effective and enjoyable.
Beyond the Classroom
Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring art, literature, world cultures, etymology, and French philology, along with hundreds of related topics that enrich my lessons with cultural depth and engaging content. Traveling, reading, and discovering new perspectives also inspire my teaching and keep every session dynamic and enjoyable.
I am also an experienced chess player at master’s level, able to play blindfold chess, and in the past I taught chess to gifted and autistic children. My long-standing interest in chess history, the evolution of board games, and the field of ludology (the study of games) reflects qualities I bring into my teaching: strategic thinking, patience, and a structured approach to learning. This perspective helps me design lessons that are both methodical and engaging, guiding students step by step toward fluency.
Languages I Know
In addition to French, I am:
Fluent in English
Advanced in Spanish
Practical knowledge of Italian and Portuguese for travel and daily life.
This multilingual experience helps me understand learners’ challenges and adapt my teaching to their background.
